Keeping the rubber side down on the track...
One of the most fun activities you can do with a performance car is wind it out on the track. You're typically driving your car at higher speeds than you can on the road, but with no traffic and no worries about surprise pedestrians, animals, or police spoiling your day. While autocrossing fine tunes your handling skills the most precisely (except perhaps carts), there is nothing like taking a real street car and pitching it into turns that are more than 50' across.
Each year we like to hit a few different tracks. We are utterly hooked on Road America at Elkhart Lake WI, love driving at BlackHawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit IL, and enjoy visiting GingerMan Raceway in South Haven MI. We're also throwing an a trip to Putnam Park Road Course in Mount Meridian IN, or at Gratten Raceway in Belding, MI. Each one promises an hour or two of track driving on great road courses where you can really explore your car's, and your own, limits.
